Budivelnyk - Hoverla 101-97

Budivelnyk overcame Hoverla in overtime to reach the semifinal stage. Hoverla was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 29-26 charge of Budivelnyk, which allowed them to win the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Budivelnyk looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Hoverla was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) stepped up and scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri, agency: Edge Sports) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Travis Peterson (208-85, college: Samford, agency: Edge Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Azovmash - BC Donetsk 97-96 OT

Azovmash needed overtime to tame BC Donetsk and pave their way into the semifinals. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime then BC Donetsk managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Azovmash who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-9. They made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Strangely BC Donetsk outrebounded Azovmash 41-24 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. BC Donetsk was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 assists for the winners and Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Ramel Curry (192-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) responded with 29 points and the former international center Kyrylo Fesenko (213-86) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. BC Donetsk's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
