Ukraine U18-Russia U18 63:60

Ukraine U18 beat Russia U18 to finish third at the International Tournament tin Bor, Serbia. The Ukrainian players celebrated the initial 63:60 win for 1-2 record. Russia finished winless with 0-3 record.
Both teams entered the game winless and desired to taste the last success. Ukraine won the first period 25-16 and added 23-12 in the second frame. Although Ukraine led 20 points at the halftime, the victory was not easy for them. Russia replied with a 12-8 rally in the third period and posted a 20-7 surge in the last stanza for the final result. Sakhnyuk stepped up with 21 points for the winners, while Illia Sidorov (96) and Igor Boyarkin (185-PG-95) posted 7 each. Ivan Victorov (191-G-95) posted 16 points in the losing effort.
Serbia U18 wins Bor International Tournament with 4 participating teams. The hosts won all three games and added 81:74 victory against France. The latter ended up on the second place with 1-2 record.

BK Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny signed American center Jason Love (206-C-87, college: Xavier, agency: Two Points). 30 years old Love started last season in Halk Enerji TED Kolejliler Ankara. There he averaged 6.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 1.0 apg in 6 Turkish BSL games. In December, 2016 Love moved to BK Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny. He recorded 11.8 ppg, 7.7 rpg and 1.3 apg in 26 Ukrainian Superleague games and 9.9 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 1.1 apg in 6 Champions League games. It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in Superleague, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders.
