One Health Sharks Sheffield are delighted to confirm that Guard Zachariah Gachette (191-G-90) and Forwards Colin Sing (195-SG-89), Olu Babalola (198-F-81, agency: Interperformances, college: Clemson) and George Brownell (186-G-93) are returning to the club for the 2013/14 season that starts on Friday 27 September with a home game at EISS against Cheshire Phoenix.

Gachette, Sing and Brownell have benefitted from the Sharks' scholarship programme with Sheffield Hallam University that will also include Sharks Mike Tuck, Nick Lewis and Brian Barbour this season.

The signing of Babalola is also a big boost for the club, as he has undergone keyhole surgery on both ankles in the off season that has resolved long standing injuries and left the veteran player feeling like the years have been rolled back.

Coach, Atiba Lyons, was keen to see all four return. "We are trying to build something here in Sheffield that will produce a successful team for the long term. It is key to that plan that we have a core of top players who return year on year to give us the sort of stability that has benefitted some of our closest rivals. Olu is a big part of that, as he is the senior member of the squad and probably the best perimeter defender in the BBL.

"Zach and Colin have been with us a couple of years now and it is time for them to step up and show some of the potential and talent that they both have on the court. George is a great young player, with a good shot and I'll be looking to put more trust in him this year."

Lyons confirmed that this is the end of his recruitment for the time being, although he has another import slot up his sleeve, should he feel the need to bring in another player.

The Sharks will start the season with Guards Brian Barbour, Jeremie Simmons, Nick Lewis and Zachariah Gachette and Forwards Mike Tuck (Captain), Da'Quan Cook, Patrick Horstmann, Olu Babalola, Colin Sing and George Brownell.
