English U18 National Team split the starting games at the international friendly tournament in Troyes. They lost to France 55:85 in the opener. The teams stayed close throughout the first half. France recorded a 23:18 lead after ten minutes. The hosts boosted the gap to 6 points at the interval 43:37. However Les Bleus increased the tempo in the third term and England could not match. France cleared off to an 18-point lead at the final intermission. They unloaded 22 points in the fourth frame to seal the win. Marine Johannes (177-G-95) netted 22 points, while Louise Dambach (175-SG-96) added 20 points for France. Janice Monakana (183-F-95) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds for England. Megan Lewis (180-G-95) chipped in 8 points in the loss.
Next England faced Slovenia. England trailed by two points after ten minutes of action 18:20. But they surged ahead in the second frame. They snatched a 42:38 halftime lead. England boosted their lead in the third term. They held Slovenia to 11 points in the quarter and ensured a 14-point lead at the final break 63:49. England dropped 20 points in the fourth period and sealed an 83:64 win at the end. Joseph knocked down 30 points for England. Janice Monakana added 14 points in the victory. Eva Lisec (192-C-95) answered with 22 points and 13 rebounds for Slovenia. Manca Jelenc (175-PG-96) chipped in 13 points in the defeat.
