Garrius
Holloman
The Plymouth University Raiders have announced their 7th player this summer, American forward Garrius Holloman (198-F-89, college: Beth.-Cookman). The 6'6" Holloman, 23 years old, is also the Raiders' third and final permit player on the teams' roster.

Holloman played at Bethune Cookman University in the USA, graduating last summer and immediately signing a deal to play in New Zealand. While in New Zealand, he averaged 18.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.

Holloman had a great career at college. During his junior year, he led Bethune-Cookman to its best season in its history, winning the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) regular season title with a record of 21-13. They would advance to their first-ever postseason appearance at the Division 1 level where Holloman posted a 20 point performance against Virginia Tech of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).

During his senior season at college, Holloman averaged 10.1 points per game and a team high 6.7 rebounds per game. In the conference tournament, he hit a game winning shot with 5.7 seconds remaining to help his team advance to the semi-finals. They would go on to play in their first-ever conference tournament championship game. For his outstanding season, Holloman was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District Team for District 15.

Raiders Coach Gavin Love was delighted to have signed Garrius to the Raiders team for the 2013/14 season. "Garrius is coming into his second professional season after spending last year in the NBL in New Zealand. At 6'6" Garrius is an athletic SF who can also play at the PF position. His versatility is very important to us. He has the ability to score inside and out and his athleticism will help us at the defensive end. Garrius is a dedicated player who I'm sure will be another good addition for us."
