Holmes
26-year old guard Travis Holmes (193-G-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for Surrey Heat and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 30.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat London Lions (#8, 11-19) 98-92. Surrey Heat maintains the 4th position in British league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Surrey Heat will need more victories to improve their 20-12 record. Holmes turned to be Surrey Heat's top player in his first season with the team. Virginia Military Institute graduate has very impressive stats this year. Holmes. Holmes is in league's top in points (4th best: 21.1ppg), rebounds (8th best: 5.3rpg) and averages solid 2.7spg and 59.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Charles Smith (198-F-75) of league's second-best Newcastle E.. He is naturalized American forward in his 4th season at Newcastle E.. In the last game Smith recorded impressive 40 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he lead Newcastle E. to another comfortable win 102-87 over the lower-ranked Worcester W. (#6, 18-13) being unquestionably team leader. Newcastle E.'s second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just five games this season, while they won 24 matches. Smith is one of the most experienced players at Newcastle E. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 7.6rpg and 3.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Gareth Murray (201-F-84, agency: Prossin Sports Management) of Glasgow Rocks (#3). Murray showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Glasgow Rocks, leading his team to a 98-70 easy win against #4 ranked Surrey Heat in a game of the week. Glasgow Rocks needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 20 victories and 11 lost games. Murray has a very solid season. In 30 games in United Kingdom he scored 12.5ppg. He also has 5.9rpg, 3.3apg and FGP: 50.3%.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Great Britain - Greece 84:88 Greece celebrated a narrow win over Great Britain in the exhibition clash at the Copper Box Arena in London. Eric Boateng joins St Vallier - 2 days ago
Saint Vallier Basket Drome (NM1) agreed terms with 32-year old British international center Eric Boateng (208-116kg-85, college: Arizona State). He is a dual citizen owning also Ghanian passport. Boateng has played for the last two seasons at ADA Blois Basket 41 in the ProB. In 30 games he had 7.4ppg and 5.1rpg last season.
