Slovenia topped United Kingdom in Group B at the U16 European Championship in Division B. Slovenia handed the opponents their first loss, while improved to 3-0 record after a 72:70 win. United Kingdom dropped at 3-1 record.
Both teams entered the game undefeated. United Kingdom took 21-18 lead after the first 10 minutes and added 23-19 in the second period. Both sides posted 18 points each in the third frame as Nevill-Kintu closed the quarter at 62:55. It was not however enough to seal the victory as Slovenia needed a 17-8 final push to win the game.
Joshua Steel (183-SF-97) paced all the winners with 18 points and Aidan Gastaldi-Davies (193-G-97) notched 14. Akwasi Yeboah (193-F-97) brought 13, whilst Calvin Kintu (179-PG-97) had 12. Urban Durnik (201-PF-97) poured in 12 points in a loss, whilst Nejc Martincic (182-G-97) had 11. Blaz Mesicek (194-G-97) and Nejc Baric (180-PG-97) finished the game with 8 points each.
