United Kingdom U20-Hungary U20 65:60

United Kingdom advanced to the quarterfinals with the perfect record at the U20 European Championship in Division B. They overcame Hungary 65:60 to finish the group with a 5-0 record. Hungary meanwhile finished third in the group with 3-2 record.
Hungary surprised the group leader with a 20-13 start, but could not keep the lead for a long time. United Kingdom replied with a 22-8 surge to take 35:28 advantage after a Devon Van Oostrum (190-G-93) shot. United Kingdom added 21-16 rally in the third period and led 56:44 after 30 minutes. Hungary closed the game with a 16-9 surge to reduce to final 5 points.
Devon Van Oostrum top-scored for the winners with 26 points and Joe Hart (194-G/F-93) netted 11. Raphell Thomas-Edwards (198-F-93) posted 9, while Nick Lewis (190-G-93) added 6. Luka Markovic (197-F/G-93) notched 15 points in the losing effort and Rosco Allen (216-PF-93) had 13. Adam Kovacs (200-G/F-93, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) scored 10, while Zoltan Czinger (215-C-93) notched 7.

Leeds Force (BBL) signed 24-year old point guard George Brownell (186-93, college: Armstr.Atlantic) from DBL Sharks Sheffield. But in 25 BBL games he had just 1.6ppg last season.
