Mattia
Bradascio
Newly appointed head coach of the Durham Wildcats, Lee Davie , has today confirmed his roster for the upcoming 2013-14 season with the announcement of four new signings. R.J. Evans (190-PG, college: Connecticut), Kirk Crecco (193-G-89, college: Dartmouth), Mike Allison (206-F/C-90, college: Maine) and Mattia Bradascio (208-C-91) are the latest players to join the Wildcats following the arrivals of Danny Huffor, Devin Ginty and Joel Madourie earlier this month. The seven new faces will join returning players Paul Elderkin (196-G-87) and Durham's 2012-13 player of the season, Ralph Bucci, in a line up that Coach Davie will hope can push his new side into the top eight play-off positions come April.

R.J. Evans joins the Wildcats following a season at American college basketball giants UCONN (University of Connecticut). The 6'3" guard had previously been a teammate of ex-Wildcats centre Andrew Keister at Holy Cross University where he featured in 96 games with an average of 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists over a three year spell. Evans is known for his strong work ethic and ability to contribute at both ends of the court.

Coach Davie added a further guard to his roster with the arrival of 6'4" American/Italian Kirk Crecco from Luxembourg side, Grengewald Hostert. Crecco joins the Wildcats after one year in Europe following his move from the Ivy League where he applied his trade at Dartmouth University. With Crecco joining Evans, Ginty and Bucci, the Wildcats won't be short of guard options come the season opener.

The Wildcats have added height to their roster with Mike Allison (6'9") and Mattia Bradascio (6'10") providing Coach Davie with some healthy competition for the centre position. Allison is a recent graduate from NCAA Division 1 side Maine Black Bears, where he played in over 100 games averaging 4.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Bradascio joins the Wildcats from Norwegian side Centrum Tigers where the 23 year old played for four seasons. Born in Oslo, Bradascio has been involved with the Norwegian international setup for a number of years. The signings of Allison and Bradascio will provide much need height to a Wildcats roster that his struggled in this area in previous seasons.

Wildcats fans will be able to see the new-look roster take to the floor this coming Thursday as a USA Select team will make the long journey to Newton Aycliffe for a 7pm tip. Tickets are on sale now direct from Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre or online at www.godurhamwildcats.com.
