Just 24 hours after 5,000 fans at the Emirates Arena and many more watching on television enjoyed a thrilling BBL Trophy Final success for One Health Sharks Sheffield, it was back to the cut and thrust of league action on Sunday night.

And, fresh from having secured a place in the play-offs, there were two huge wins for both Worcester Wolves and Surrey Heat.

Wolves made it eight BBL Championship victories in a row with a stunning offensive performance at Northgate Arena, where they blew away Cheshire Phoenix 121-90 as Kai Williams (190-F-88, college: S.Dakota St.) tormented his former club with a devastating 29 point haul.

Stan Ocitti and Alex Owumi both grabbed double-doubles to help Wolves maintain their impressive winning streak, whilst Phoenix will now have to deal with a sizeable blow to their play-off ambitions.

Elsewhere, Mersey Tigers were the subject of another rout after crashing 99-71 at Surrey Heat who made it three league wins in a row to get their top four challenge back on track.

They followed up last weekends' home win against Cheshire and last Friday's stunning success on Tyneside against Newcastle Eagles, with the comfortable victory against the basement dwellers.

Travis Holmes led all Heat scorers with 26 points whilst Nathan Schall stood out in defeat for Tigers with 17 points.
