BC Khimky announced Nikita Balashov (207-F-91) for 2013/2014 season. The player will move from Krasnie Krilya Samara. In 15 PBL games he recorded 6.6ppg and 4.0rpg. He also played 14 games in EuroChallenge where he averaged 8.1ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the EuroChallenge championship. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroChallenge Honorable Mention. Balashov also played 19 games in VTB United League where he averaged 7.3ppg and 4.6rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. The 2011/2012 season Balashov played also at Krasnie Krilya. Similarly like in the last season, the team also played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 21 PBL games he averaged 5.4ppg and 3.4rpg. He contributed to his team winning the cup. Balashov also played 2 games in EuroChallenge but he did not score anything and had only 1 rebound and 1 block. He also played 13 games in VTB United League where he averaged 3.7ppg and 2.8rpg.
Nikita Balashov has been also a member of Russian international program for some years. Balashov was a member of both Senior and University National Teams this year and previously for University National Team in 2013. He also represented Russia at the European Championships U20 in Bilbao (Spain) two years ago. Balashov's team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 9 games: 7.9ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.0bpg, FGP: 54.3%, 3PT: 50.0%, FT: 52.9%.

Defending champion BK Astana (National League) landed 23-year old American point guard Anthony Clemmons (186-87kg-94, college: Iowa). He played most recently at Vienna in Austrian A Bundesliga. In 35 games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 17.9ppg and recorded 4.7rpg, 4.5apg and 2.0spg (in top 2) last season. Enisey Krasnoyarsk (VTB) confirmed in their roster 23-year old power forward Igor Kanygin (207-110kg-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). He played there last season. Enisey Krasnoyarsk (VTB) re-signed 30-year old guard Vasili Zavoruev (197-93kg-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). He played there last season. In 13 FIBA Europe Cup games he averaged 9.3ppg, 2.2rpg and 5.1apg. Zavoruev helped them to make it to the quarterfinals.
