Lokomotiv stepped closer to the semifinal stage as they upset BC Donetsk in Ukraine. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-80. Lokomotiv made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Lithuanian point guard Mantas Kalnietis (195-86, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Lithuanian Simas Jasaitis (202-82) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Five Lokomotiv players scored in double figures. At the losing side Lithuanian power forward Darius Songaila (204-78, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) responded with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and center Kyrylo Fesenko (213-86) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Spartak SP completed a successful trip to Nizhny Novgorod as they clinched the opening win in the eighth-final series. BC Nizhny Novgorod was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 9-point lead after three quarters before a 33-10 charge of Spartak St.Petersburg, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Greek center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84) fired 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Latvian point guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89) chipped in 12 points. Spartak St.Petersburg's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Semen Antonov (202-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) produced 17 points and 5 blocks and Vadim Panin (203-84, agency: Alti Sport) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Triumph - Krasnie Krilya 69-76

Krasnie Krilya surprised Triumph in Lyubertsy to take 1-0 lead. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Triumph Lyubertsy won fourth quarter 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Nikita Balashov (207-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American point guard Aaron Miles (186-83, college: Kansas) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian power forward Kyle Landry (207-86, college: N.Arizona) answered with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Tasmin Mitchell (201-86, college: LSU, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 20 points in the effort for Triumph Lyubertsy.
