Lokomotiv overcame BC Donetsk to sweep the eighth-final series. The game was mostly controlled by Lokomotiv. BC Donetsk managed to win fourth quarter 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Lokomotiv looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Lokomotiv made 7 blocks. American-Greek point guard Nick Calathes (198-89, college: Florida) scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian point guard Mantas Kalnietis (195-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Lokomotiv players scored in double figures. Avtodor Saratov (VTB) agreed terms with 25-year old American forward Coty Clarke (201-105kg-92, college: Arkansas, agency: BeoBasket). It is actually his comeback to Saratov as he has played here before. Clarke played last summer at Capitanes de Arecibo in Puerto Rican BSN league.
