CKSA registered the second striaght win over Krasnie Krilya at the start of the quarterfinal series. The hosts were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 30-23 Krasnie Krilya's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 87-78 at the end of the game. CSKA Moscow players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Forward Viktor Khryapa (203-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four CSKA Moscow players scored in double figures. American guard Chester Simmons (196-82, college: Washington) replied with 23 points and his fellow American import point guard Aaron Miles (186-83, college: Kansas) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Krasnie Krilya. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in VTB United League. The game in Perm supposed to be quite interesting. Khimki (3-0) played at the court of Parma (0-2). Khimki smashed Parma 106-69 on Monday. Khimki dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Parma's 32 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game.
