CSKA snatched a tough road win over Khimky to level the series at 1-1. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Khimky won third quarter 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Vladimir Micov (201-85, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 16 points and 4 assists. Forward Viktor Khryapa (203-82) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. CSKA Moscow's coach Ettore Messina used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Vitaliy Fridzon (195-85, agency: Alti Sport) produced 16 points and Croatian-Bosnian guard Zoran Planinic (198-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Khimky players scored in double figures.

Zalgiris - Lokomotiv 63-85

Lokomotiv stunned Zalgiris away from home to tie things up at 1-1. The game was mostly controlled by Lokomotiv. Zalgiris was better in second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lokomotiv dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Zalgiris' 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Zalgiris' players. American forward Derrick Brown (203-87, college: Xavier) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Valery Likhodey (205-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Five Lokomotiv players scored in double figures. Center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Oliver Lafayette (188-84, college: Houston) added 9 points and 6 assists in the effort for Zalgiris. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

The Regular Season in VTB United League just ended. Eleventh-ranked Estonian Kalev/Cramo (5-19) gave a tough game to second ranked Russian Zenit (21-3) in Tallinn on Sunday.
