The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 15-8. But CSKA Moscow won second period 14-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American forward Omar Thomas (196-82, college: UTEP) who saved his team from a defeat with 14 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Andre Smith (203-85, college: N.Dakota St.) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Andrey Vorontsevich (207-87) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for CSKA Moscow. CSKA Moscow's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

The game was mostly controlled by Khimky. VEF Riga was better in fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khimky had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by VEF Riga's players. It was an exceptional evening for American forward James Augustine (208-84, college: Illinois, agency: Priority Sports) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Croatian forward Kresimir Loncar (210-83, agency: Alti Sport) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Khimky's coach Rimas Kurtinaitis felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Lauris Blaus (204-90, agency: FCM) came up with 6 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Will Daniels (203-86, college: Rhode Island) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for VEF Riga in the defeat.

Lokomotiv trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 16-7 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 65-68 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for Greek power forward Ian Vougioukas (212-85, college: St.Louis) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Terrell Lyday (191-79, college: BYU) helped adding 15 points. Four Unics Kazan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Greek point guard Nick Calathes (198-89, college: Florida) with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Lithuanian Simas Jasaitis (202-82) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
