CSKA shot down Krasnie Krilya in Samara to clinch the semifinal appearance. The game was mostly controlled by CSKA Moscow. Krasnie Krilya managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Krasnie Krilya to just 7 points in first quarter. Serbian center Nenad Krstic (212-83) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Serbian forward Vladimir Micov (201-85, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Aaron Miles (186-83, college: Kansas) produced 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Andre Smith (203-85, college: N.Dakota St.) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Krasnie Krilya's coach Sergey Bazarevich rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Zalgiris overcame Nizhny Novgorod on the road to win the series 3-1. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 7 points. Zalgiris made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game, while BC Nizhny Novgorod only scored four points from the stripe. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Oliver Lafayette (188-84, college: Houston) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas (205-89) who added 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Semen Antonov (202-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Evgeni Baburin (190-87) scored 12 points and 4 steals.

Lokomotiv held off ambitious Unics in Krasnodar to seal their next round appearance. Unics Kazan was ahead by 13 points at the halftime before a 39-22 second half run of Lokomotiv. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Unics Kazan to just 7 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Greek point guard Nick Calathes (198-89, college: Florida) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Maxim Grigoryev (195-90) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Lokomotiv players scored in double figures. Lokomotiv's coach Evgeny Pashutin allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Greek power forward Kostas Kaimakoglou (206-83) replied with 16 points and Greek power forward Ian Vougioukas (212-85, college: St.Louis) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Unics Kazan.

It is actually his comeback to Saratov as he has played here before. Clarke played last summer at Capitanes de Arecibo in Puerto Rican BSN league. VEF Riga (LBL) inked 25-year old Latvian guard Andris Misters (196-91kg-92). He just graduated from Jacksonville (NCAA). Misters has played there for the last three years.
