Gediminas Orelikas (200-G/F-90) will continue his career in Lietuvos Rytas. The forward has agreed on terms of two-year contract with the Vilnius powerhouse. Gediminas Orelikas has played for Rudupis Prienai since 2010. Last season the forward led LKL in scoring posting 16.8 points per game. He also tallied 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game in LKL. In Baltic League Gediminas Orelikas notched 17.9 points and 5.6 boards per appearance. The forward also delivered 11.3 points, 3.3 boards and 2.8 assists per game in EuroCup. Eurobasket.com named Gediminas Orelikas All-Baltic League Player of the Year. He was also trumped All-Lithuanian LKL Player of the Year. The forward was the member of the Lithuanian University National Team in 2011.

The Regular Season in VTB United League just started. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Latvian VEF Riga (0-1) at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were rolled over by Russian Khimki (2-0) 104-64. The game was mostly controlled by Khimki. VEF Riga managed to win second period 14-13. Robbie Hummel(6'9''-F-89, college: Purdue) earned the respect of a generation of Purdue basketball fans while playing through pain and exhibiting a love of the game.
