Stanislav Eremin tastes the first win with Unics as he accepted the Head Coach position. His old and at the same time new team won over Khimky 76:70.
Unics Kazan won against visiting Khimky and ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Khimky. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-17. But Khimky won second period 15-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Greek power forward Kostas Kaimakoglou notched 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Ian Vougioukas supported him with 13 points. Even 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Vitaliy Fridzon did not help to save the game for Khimky. Sergey Monya added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the guests.
As a Head Coach/Director Stanislav Eremin appeared in 2007-2008 for Triumph Lyubertsy (A Superleague). After three years with the team he moved to Krasnie Krilya Samara (PBL). Earlier as a Head Coach he spent with Unics 6 years.
