Goudelock
Unics Kazan (PBL) inked 25-year old American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-91kg-88, college: Charleston). He played most recently at LA Lakers in the NBA, but released. In four games he averaged 9.0ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.3spg last season. Goudelock also spent part of the season at Rio Grande Valley Vipers in D-League that year. In 38 games he had very impressive stats: 21.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.8apg and 1.3spg. He was tried-out by Sioux Falls Skyforce in D-League that season. In 14 games he had also remarkable stats: 20.3ppg, 3.4rpg and 3.4apg. A very good year in his career as he was awarded USBasket.com All-D-League Player of the Year, Guard of the Year and USBasket.com All-D-League Call-Up of the Year.
Two years ago he was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in second round (46th overall). Goudelock attended College of Charleston until 2011 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. Goudelock received also2012-2013 All-United States Awards (Voted by All USA Sports Reporters) Player of the Year award in 2013. He won NBA Pacific Division championship title in 2012.
He has played previously professionally in NBA (Orlando Magic) and D-League (Los Angeles D-Fenders).
Goudelock's game is described as: (by Tyler Ingle for NBADraft.net in 2011)
Very energetic offensively ... Hard to defend ... Doesn't waste any time holding the ball, as soon as he receives a pass he looks to make a move ... Good in isolation situations ... Employs an excellent pull-up jump shot with a quick and efficient release ... Is very active without the ball ... Knows how to find openings on the perimeter and set himself up for a catch-and-shoot opportunity. Undersized for a shooting guard at the next level ... Not very skilled in the paint, due to his below average athleticism and size ... Most of his offense comes from the perimeter
