D'Or Fischer
American-Trinidad and Tobago center D'or Fischer (211-C-81) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for BC Donetsk, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Spartak SP (#4, 12-6) 88-80. BC Donetsk maintains the 6th position in VTB United League . BC Donetsk is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-9 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Fischer as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Former West Virginia University star has very solid stats this year. Fischer is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 6.3rpg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg and 63.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old Senegalese Bamba Fall (217-C-86) of Kalev/Cramo. Fall had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Kalev/Cramo was edged in overtime by the higher-ranked BC Astana (#5, 10-8) 85-81. Kalev/Cramo managed to keep the same 10th spot in the standings. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Kalev/Cramo managed to get this year. Fall is well-known at Kalev/Cramo and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Kalev/Cramo's star - U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar (208-C-86). Elegar scored 14 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Elegar's great performance Kalev/Cramo lost 81-85in overtime to the higher-ranked BC Astana (#5, 10-8). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Kalev/Cramo can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-15 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Elegar he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Elegar has a very solid season. In 16 games in VTB United League he scored 8.3ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Aaron Miles (186-PG-83) of Krasnie Krilya - 13 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists
5. Dijon Thompson (201-G/F-83) of N.Novgorod - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Kaspars Berzins (213-PF-85) of VEF Riga - 20 points and 13 rebounds
7. Ramel Curry (192-G-80) of BC Donetsk - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Chuck Eidson (203-F-80) of Unics - 15 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Mindaugas Kuzminskas (205-F-89) of Zalgiris - 18 points and 7 rebounds
10. Lynn Greer (186-PG-79) of Azovmash - 11 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
