Spartak Saint Petersburg decided to split ways with Jurij Zdovc . The Slovenian specialist took over Spartak in 2011. He signed three-year deal with the Saint Petersburg team. However the team did not live up to the high expectations of the management this season. Spartak failed to reach EuroCup semis losing to Budivelnyk at the quarterfinal stage. Spartak are also at 8-8 record in PBL. They won 12 out of their 18 VTB regular season games this season. Jurij Zdovc worked with Union Olimpija, Iraklis, Geoplin Slovan, Bosna Sarajevo and KK Split before joining Spartak SP. He was named All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Coach of the Year in 2008. He was also trumped All-Slovenian League Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2010.
