NH Ostrava inks Julian Roche, ex Saskatchewan

BK Nova Hut Ostrava (NBL) agreed terms with 27-year old Canadian power forward Julian Roche (211cm-116kg-1997, college: Simon Fraser) for upcoming 2025-26 season. Roche played this summer at Saskatchewan in Canadian CEBL. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. Roche ended 24-25 season at Rabotnicki in North Macedonian Prva Liga where in 15 games he had 13.3ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.3bpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. 2024-25 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-North Macedonian League All-Imports Team, League Player of the Week and Eurobasket.com All-North Macedonian League Third Team. But the most of that year he spent at Near East in Greek Elite League. In 23 games he recorded 11.9ppg, 9.7rpg, 1.5apg and 1.1bpg.
Roche has played previously professionally in Germany (Uni Baskets) and Switzerland (Swiss Central).
He graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2022 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player. Roche played also for Santa Clara University for 2 years.
