#1. Experienced player Scheraun King, a 6'5'' guard aged 38, who graduated from Albany St. in 2009 and earned the Team MVP award that year, currently competes professionally in the ECBL. In a thrilling match on Saturday night, King led the Carolina Thunder to a narrow 1-point victory over the formidable Petersburg Cavaliers (11-2), with a final score of 125-124. King showcased his skills by contributing 15 points, securing 4 rebounds, and providing 2 assists during the game. Despite the Carolina Thunder holding a somewhat modest 6-6 record this season, King's exceptional performance against Petersburg Cavaliers highlighted his impact on the team. With only two games remaining in the East Coast Basketball League Regular Season, each upcoming match becomes increasingly crucial for the team's standings. King's consistent performance this season is evident in his solid statistics, averaging 12.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game across the four games he has participated in. His leadership on the court and ability to deliver in key moments make him a standout champion for the Carolina Thunder.
