#1. Experienced Jamel Morris (6'4''-G-1992, played in 2013-13, plays pro in Lithuania) led Lietkabelis to a victory against one of league's weakest teams Gargzdu (2-6) 89-80 in the Lithuanian LKL on Saturday night. He scored 13 points and added 4 assists in 27 minutes. Panevezys 7bet-Lietkabelis (5-3) is placed fourth in the LKL. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Morris' first year with the team. Morris has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 20.8ppg, 1.5rpg and 4.0apg.
#2. Thomas Wimbush (6'7''-F-1993, played in 2012-12, plays in Japan) could not help Shiga Lakestars (8-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the seventh-placed Shiga Lakestars (8-7) lost 99-108 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) Sapporo in the West group. Wimbush was the top scorer with 25 points. He also added 4 rebounds. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Wimbush's first year with the team. Wimbush has very impressive stats this season 15.6ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.3apg in 15 games he played so far.
#3. Thad McFadden (6'2''-G-1987, played in 2007-09, currently in Spain), who plays in the Spanish Primera FEB (second division) was not able to help Menorca (2-5) in their game last Sunday. Despite McFadden's very good performance Menorca was edged83-80 in Llucmajor by the one of league's weakest teams Palma BM (#16). He was the second best scorer with 17 points in 30 minutes. It was his first game for Menorca this season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's McFadden's first year with the team. McFadden is a naturalized Georgian.
#4. Zyon Dobbs (6'4''-G, played in 2020-24, plays pro in France) was not able to secure a victory for Union Rennes Basket 35 (5-21) in their last game. Despite Dobbs' good performance the 14th-placed Union Rennes Basket 35 (5-21) was badly defeated108-88 on the opponent's court by the much higher-ranked (#6) Tours in the Group A. He recorded 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. This year Dobbs averages 8.0ppg, 2.7rpg and 2.0apg in three games.
#5. Isaac Thornton (6'5''-G-1991, played in 2009-13, plays in Brazil) was the major contributor in a 1-point Cruzeiro Esporte Clube Basquete's victory against the closely-ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (3-4) 76-75 in the Brazilian NBB in Monday night's game. Thornton scored 12 points and added 5 passes in 35 minutes. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube Basquete (2-5) is placed 15th in the NBB. Thornton has relatively good stats this season 10.1ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.1apg.
#6. Kaito Shike (5'9''-PG-2001, played in 2022-23, currently in Japan) managed to help Koshigaya Alphas in a victory against the 11th-ranked Fighting Eagles 82-64 in the Japanese B1 League last Sunday. Shike scored only 3 points and added 3 assists. This year Shike averages 1.8ppg and 1.2apg in 10 games.
