Here is the weekly review of the top performing Golden Flashes alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Experienced U.S. Virgin Islands champion Deon Edwin, a 6'4'' guard who is 34 years old and graduated from Kent State in 2017 after helping them win the MAC Tournament that year, currently plays professionally in Poland. In his latest game, Edwin couldn't prevent Anwil Wloclawek (1-1) from a narrow 87-86 loss on the road against the higher-ranked (#12) Voluntari. Despite his very good performance, Edwin emerged as the second-best scorer for his team, contributing 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes of play. This game marked his first appearance for Anwil Wloclawek this season. His noteworthy performance against Voluntari showcased his skills as he displayed his scoring ability, grabbed rebounds, and facilitated plays with assists. However, even with Edwin's impressive contributions, Anwil Wloclawek couldn't secure the victory in the end.

#2. Cli'Ron Hornbeak, a 23-year-old 6'9'' center and alum of the Golden Flashes class of 2025, currently plays professional basketball in Argentina. Despite his individual achievements, such as being selected for the MAC All-Defensive Team in his final collegiate year, Hornbeak faced a tough challenge in the recent game against Obera in the Argentinian La Liga. Playing for the struggling San Lorenzo team, Hornbeak's performance of 7 points and 6 rebounds in 17 minutes was commendable, yet not enough to secure a victory. San Lorenzo suffered a close 73-78 defeat at home to Obera, a team currently ranked #17 in the league. With only one more game left in the Regular Season, Hornbeak's team faces a crucial moment as they strive for a better outcome. This season marks Hornbeak's debut with the team, and despite his solid contributions, averaging 5.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in the three matches he has played thus far, the team's overall performance has been challenging. Hornbeak's dedication and skills will be pivotal as he aims to help lift San Lorenzo to a better position in the league standings.

#3. Sincere Carry, a 6'1'' guard who graduated from Kent St. in 2023, is currently playing professionally in Cyprus. Known for his exceptional skills, he was awarded the All-MAC All-Tournament MVP in the same year he graduated. Recently, Carry proved his worth as a champion by contributing significantly to AEL's victory over the closely-ranked Paralimni with a final score of 89-77 in the Cypriot ECOMMBX Basket League. In the game, he showcased his talent by scoring 13 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and providing 4 assists in just 30 minutes of play. Despite the team's current position of fifth in the league, it is still early in the season, leaving room for potential changes in standings. This marks Carry's first year with TRIA EKA AEL Limassol, and his impressive performance against Paralimni demonstrates his capability to make a meaningful impact on the court. With an average of 11.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game in the two games played thus far, Carry has established himself as a standout finalist in the league, showcasing his potential to excel further as the season progresses.

#4. Morgan Safford, a 6'5'' guard and 25-year-old Golden Flashes alumni from 2026, who received an All-MAC Honorable Mention award that year, is currently playing professionally in Slovakia. In a recent game, despite Safford's standout performance, he couldn't lead the Blue Wings to victory, as they suffered a crushing 99-60 defeat in Nancy against the formidable Sluc. Safford showcased his talent by emerging as the top scorer for his team with 15 points and contributing 5 rebounds in just 25 minutes of play. This remarkable display of skill is particularly impressive considering it is only his first season in professional basketball. Unfortunately, the Blue Wings have yet to secure a win this season, having lost all three games in the Regular Season thus far. In the match against Nancy, Safford not only scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds but also managed to dish out 1 assist. Despite his exceptional performance, his team was unable to secure a victory. In the current season, Safford has been maintaining an average of 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game over the three games he has played.

#5. In the recent game against the leading team Avellino, Marquis Barnett, a 6'5'' guard who graduated from Kent St. in 2025 and currently plays professionally in Italy, showcased an impressive performance for Montecatini despite their 74-85 loss. As the top scorer, Barnett contributed 30 points, along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists in 39 minutes of play. This outstanding performance is particularly noteworthy as Barnett is only in his second season in professional basketball. Despite Barnett's remarkable individual efforts, Montecatini suffered their third consecutive loss. The team's 1-4 record reflects their recent struggles, but Barnett's statistics demonstrate his significant impact on the court this season. With an average of 24.0 points per game (the second best in the league), 8.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.4 steals in the five games he has played so far, Barnett has proven to be a key player for Montecatini. Overall, Barnett's strong presence and impressive stats indicate his potential to lead Montecatini to more victories, even in the face of challenging opponents like Avellino. His performance against the league leaders highlights his skills as a champion player aiming to elevate his team to success in the ongoing season.

#6. Jalen Sullinger, a 5'10'' point guard and 23-year-old Golden Flashes alum from 2025, currently plays professionally in Poland. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to lead his team, Lodz, to a victory against Opole, one of the league's weakest teams. In the game, Sullinger managed to score 6 points, provide 6 assists, and make 3 steals in 25 minutes of play, but unfortunately, his team suffered a 78-84 loss. Even though the team did not come out on top, Sullinger showcased an impressive performance against Opole, displaying his skills with 6 points and 6 assists. Throughout the season, Sullinger has maintained relatively good statistics, averaging 11.4 points, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game over five games.

#7. Malique Jacobs, a 6'3'' guard who graduated from Kent St. in 2023, is currently playing professional basketball in North Macedonia. Recently, in a game against the higher-ranked team Madzari 2003, despite his impressive performance, Jacobs couldn't help his team, Strumica, secure a win. He scored 12 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists in a match where Strumica ultimately lost 68-83 in Skopje. Even though Jacobs has been putting up solid individual numbers this season, averaging 16.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game in two matches, his team has faced challenges in securing victories. Nonetheless, Jacobs' talent and contributions on the court continue to be noteworthy, showcasing his skills as a defensive standout and a valuable asset to his team.

#8. Miryne Thomas, a 6'8'' forward who is 27 years old and an alumnus of the Golden Flashes class of 2023 where he played a key role in helping them become champions of the MAC Tournament that year, now plays professionally in Romania. In a recent game, Thomas was unable to lead Valcea to victory against Targu Mures. Despite his solid performance of scoring 5 points and grabbing 1 rebound in 15 minutes of play, his team ultimately fell short with a final score of 83-91. Throughout this season, Thomas has been averaging 7.3 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game across three games. Despite the loss in the most recent game, Thomas continues to showcase his skills on the court as he strives to elevate his team's performance and make an impact as a standout champion and finalist in his basketball career.

#9. Puerto Rican Giovanni Santiago, a 6'1'' guard who is 26 years old and graduated from Kent St. in 2024, played a crucial role in helping his team reach the final of the MAC Tournament that year. Currently playing professionally in Mexico, Santiago recently faced off against Soles but unfortunately couldn't lead his team, Abejas de Leon, to a victory. Despite his best efforts, Santiago only managed to score 4 points and provide 6 assists in 23 minutes of play as his team suffered a 22-point defeat, with a final score of 92-70. Although Santiago's personal performance was commendable, with 4 points, 1 rebound, and 6 assists, his team ultimately fell short against Soles. Throughout the season, Santiago has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and a league-leading 6.7 assists per game in 34 appearances, showcasing his skills and contribution to his team.

#10. Antonio Williams, a 6'0'' point guard and 29-year-old Golden Flashes alumnus from 2020, has been making waves in the basketball scene in Germany. Recently, he played a pivotal role in a thrilling 78-76 victory for RheinStars Koeln against the closely-ranked 46ers in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA, the second division league. In this game, Williams showcased his skills by scoring 15 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, dishing out 7 assists, and adding 3 steals, all within a span of 31 minutes on the court. His standout performance against the Giessen 46ers highlighted his ability to contribute across multiple statistical categories, with 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists. Williams' exceptional display of both individual talent and teamwork proved to be instrumental in securing the victory, ultimately earning him the esteemed title of the champion of the game. Throughout the season, Williams has consistently put up impressive numbers, averaging 15.8 points per game, along with 3.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.8 steals in five games. His stellar performances on the court have not only showcased his skills but have also solidified his position as a standout player in the league.
