Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former The Lancers players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Elijah Tucker, a 6'8'' forward and 23-year-old graduate of Longwood University in 2026, where he earned an All-Big South Conference Honorable Mention award, is currently playing professional basketball in the Czech Republic. Although he has shown considerable promise in his rookie season, he was unable to help his team, Opava (with a record of 1-3), in their most recent game. Despite Tucker’s very good individual performance, Opava suffered a heavy defeat at home, losing 103-80 to the league-leading Gladiators. Tucker was the top scorer in that matchup, putting up an impressive 22 points. In addition to his scoring, he contributed 7 rebounds in just 21 minutes of play—a remarkable feat given that this is only Tucker’s first year as a professional basketball player and his first season with Opava. His strong showing was consistent with his previous performance against Trier, where he also scored 22 points, secured 7 rebounds, and added 1 assist. Unfortunately, despite Tucker’s significant contributions in that game, the team was unable to clinch a win. Overall, Elijah Tucker has posted solid statistics in his inaugural professional season, averaging 14.8 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game across the four games he has played so far. His promising start suggests he could become a key player for Opava as the season progresses.

This season marks his first year with Sassari in the Italian Serie A2, the country's second division basketball league. Despite his efforts, Flood was unable to help Sassari, which holds a 3-3 record, secure a win against Puglia, who currently stand at 2-4. In the recent matchup against Puglia, Flood put up an impressive performance, scoring 5 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists over 24 minutes of play. However, Sassari suffered a heavy defeat on the road, losing 79-63 to the lower-ranked Puglia team, which is positioned 15th in the standings. Although the loss was disappointing, it is important to remember that the season is still in its early stages, and much can change as it progresses. Overall, Flood is averaging solid numbers this year, with 8.6 points per game, 2.4 rebounds per game, and 3.2 assists per game across five games played. His contributions remain valuable as he continues to adjust and strive for success with his team.
#3. Walyn Napper, a 6'1" point guard and 26-year-old graduate of Longwood University in 2024, where he earned the prestigious All-Big South Conference All-Tournament MVP award that same year, is currently playing professional basketball in Slovakia. Last Saturday, Napper was a major contributor to Handlova's impressive 95-89 victory over the fifth-ranked Lucenec (with a 3-3 record) in the Slovakian Tipos Slovenska Basketbalova Liga. In that crucial game, Napper showcased his skills by recording a double-double, scoring 16 points and dishing out an impressive 12 assists in just 31 minutes of play. This performance is especially noteworthy considering it is only his third season playing professional basketball. His efforts were instrumental in Handlova's success, helping the team overcome a higher-ranked opponent. MBK Banik Handlova currently holds a 2-4 record and is placed ninth in the league standings. Beyond this game, Napper has been having an outstanding individual season, consistently putting up strong numbers. Over six games, he is averaging 17.7 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, and a league-leading 6.5 assists per game, in addition to 1.3 steals per game. His ability to both score and facilitate makes him a key player for Handlova and a rising talent to watch in the league.
#4. Michael Christmas, a 6'6" forward and 25-year-old alumnus of The Lancers class of 2025, currently plays professional basketball in the Czech Republic. Last Wednesday, he played a key role in USK Praha's hard-fought victory over the closely-ranked H. Kralove in the Czech Republic Maxa NBL, with the final score being 93-85. In that game, Christmas contributed 9 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and provided 1 assist over 29 minutes of play, demonstrating his impact on both ends of the floor. USK Praha, holding a 4-6 record, is positioned seventh in the league standings, and Christmas’s performance was instrumental in securing this important win against H. Kralove, who have a 3-6 record. Over the course of this season, Christmas has maintained relatively strong statistics, averaging 12.9 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, and 1.1 assists per game across seven games played. His consistent contributions highlight his value to the team and his growing presence in the league.
#5. Kyrell Luc, a 24-year-old point guard standing 5'11'', who graduated from Longwood in 2025 and currently plays professionally in Poland, faced a challenging outing in the recent BKT Eurocup match. Despite his efforts, Luc was unable to help his team, WKS Slask Wroclaw, which holds a 1-4 record, secure a win against Tofas, who are positioned second with a 4-1 record. In Wednesday’s game, Luc struggled to make a significant impact, scoring only 3 points in 14 minutes of play. His performance on the scoreboard was limited, and although he also contributed 1 assist, it was not enough to change the outcome. WKS Slask Wroclaw suffered a heavy defeat, losing 90-74 in Bursa to the strong Tofas squad. This loss marked WKS Slask Wroclaw’s third consecutive defeat, highlighting a difficult stretch for the team. Overall, Luc’s season averages stand at 3.2 points per game (ppg) and 1.4 assists per game (apg) across five games played so far. Despite his efforts and contributions, Wednesday’s game cannot be counted among his better performances as he and his team continue to seek improvement and success in the league.
#6. Jordan Perkins, a 6'2'' guard and 28-year-old alumnus of The Lancers from the class of 2022, played a pivotal role in leading his college team to become the Big South Conference Regular Season Champion that year. Currently, Perkins is playing professionally in Azerbaijan. In his most recent game, he was unable to help the Lions, who hold a 2-2 record, secure a victory. Despite Perkins delivering a solid individual performance, the Lions were narrowly defeated 86-84 in a fiercely contested derby match against the league-leading Neftci. During the game, Perkins showcased his skills by scoring an impressive 10 points in just 22 minutes of play. In addition to his scoring, he contributed 2 rebounds and 1 assist, demonstrating his all-around capabilities on the court. However, even with his commendable efforts, the team fell short of victory. Throughout this season, Perkins has maintained strong averages, putting up 8.8 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, 3.8 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game across four games. His consistent performance continues to reflect the talent and leadership qualities that helped The Lancers achieve the status of champion during his collegiate career.

A graduate of Longwood University in 2016, Nwogbo earned significant recognition that year by being named to the All-Big South Conference First Team, highlighting his standout collegiate performance. Since turning professional, he has continued to showcase his skills overseas. In a recent matchup, Nwogbo represented Cantabria, a team with a 4-2 record, but despite his very good individual performance, he was unable to help his team secure a win. Cantabria was narrowly edged out 82-81 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#9) Albacete. Demonstrating his offensive and defensive prowess, Nwogbo was the top scorer for Cantabria with 17 points and contributed significantly on the boards by pulling down 7 rebounds. Impressively, he was perfect from the free-throw line, going 7-for-7, all within just 22 minutes of play. Additionally, he provided 1 assist, further contributing to his team's efforts. Although his performance was impressive and impactful, it was not enough to lead Cantabria to victory in this closely contested game against Albacete. Over the course of this season, Nwogbo has maintained solid averages, scoring 8.5 points per game and grabbing 5.5 rebounds per game across six games played. Notably, he is a naturalized Nigerian, adding an international dimension to his basketball career.

Despite Nkereuwem's strong individual performance, Cordoba CB was decisively beaten 99-65 on their home court in Cordoba by the much higher-ranked Gran Canaria team, which is currently positioned at #4. Nkereuwem stood out as the top scorer for Cordoba CB, putting up 11 points along with 4 rebounds in just 13 minutes of playing time. His performance was commendable given the circumstances, demonstrating his ability to contribute effectively on both offense and defense. Nonetheless, his efforts were not enough to turn the tide, and Cordoba CB suffered a significant loss. Over the course of this season, Leslie Nkereuwem has been averaging 2.6 points per game (ppg) and 2.0 rebounds per game (rpg) across five games played.
