We bring you last week's top former Pirates players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Jared Rhoden, a 6'6'' forward who graduated from Seton Hall in 2022 and received the All-Big East First Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in France. In a recent match for Paris Basketball, he played a crucial role in their triumph over the 14th-ranked Sluc Nancy with a score of 78-73 in the French Betclic ELITE league. Rhoden showcased his talent by contributing 15 points in just 24 minutes of play, marking a successful debut for Paris Basketball this season. Despite his team's current position at sixth in the league standings, it's still early in the season, leaving room for unpredictable outcomes. Rhoden's remarkable performance against Nancy, where he not only scored 15 points but also secured 3 rebounds and provided 2 assists, was instrumental in guiding his team to victory. This outstanding display further cements his reputation as a champion in the making.

#2. Shavar Reynolds Jr., a 6'2'' point guard and 28-year-old Hawks alumni from 2022, previously played for Seton Hall between 2017 and 2021 before joining a professional team in Turkey. In a recent game, he played a crucial role in Tofas Bursa's narrow 90-89 victory over the 11th-ranked Bordo. Recording 8 points in just 18 minutes of play, it was his debut game for Tofas Bursa this season. Despite his team being placed fifth in the league, Reynolds Jr. showcased his skills by scoring 8 points, grabbing 2 rebounds, and providing 2 assists during the intense match against Bordo. His performance undoubtedly contributed to his team's success, ultimately leading them to be crowned as the champion.

#3. In the recent game, the experienced Czech Republic player, Patrik Auda, who stands at 6'9'' and plays as a power forward, was unable to lead his team, USK Praha, to victory. Despite his commendable performance, USK Praha, currently at the bottom of the standings with a 0-3 record, suffered a loss at home to the higher-ranked Usti n/Labem, who hold the #6 spot. Auda showcased his skills by scoring 19 points, securing 6 rebounds, and contributing 3 assists during his 33 minutes on the court. USK Praha has faced defeat in all three games of the Regular Season thus far. Auda has been a standout player, maintaining solid statistics this season with averages of 11.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in the three matches he has played. Despite his impressive individual performance in the game against Usti n/Labem, Auda and his team were unable to secure a victory.

#4. Canadian Tyrese Samuel, a 6'10'' forward/center aged 25, is a former Gators alumnus from the class of 2024. Prior to his time with the Gators, he played for Seton Hall between 2019 and 2023 before transitioning to professional basketball in France. In his debut game for JL Bourg en Bresse this season, Samuel faced off against Saint-Quentin in the French Betclic ELITE league. Despite his solid performance of 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in just 20 minutes of play, JL Bourg en Bresse fell short against Saint-Quentin, losing 106-103 on the road. The higher-ranked Saint-Quentin (#8) proved to be a tough opponent for Samuel and his team, denying them the victory in the closely contested match.

#5. Al-Amir Dawes, a 6'2'' guard who graduated from Seton Hall in 2024 and received the NIT All-Tournament MVP award that year, is currently playing professionally in the United Kingdom. Despite his best efforts, Dawes could not lead the Caledonia Gladiators to victory against the Sharks in the British Super League Basketball. In a valiant effort, he scored 9 points, dished out 3 assists, and grabbed 3 steals in 30 minutes of play. Unfortunately, the Caledonia Gladiators suffered a tough 98-76 defeat at the hands of the higher-ranked (#3) Sharks in Sheffield. This season marks Dawes' debut with the team, and he has shown promising performances. In a recent game against Sheffield Sharks, Dawes displayed his skills by contributing 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists. Despite his impressive individual stats, including averaging 16.0 points per game, 1.5 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game, and 2.0 steals per game (ranking him fourth best in the league), Dawes and his team have faced challenges securing victories.

#6. Turkish player Arda Ozdogan, a towering 6'10'' center at just 21 years old and an alumni of the Pirates from 2024, played a crucial role in their NIT championship victory that year. Currently playing professionally in Turkey, Ozdogan recently showcased his talent by contributing to Kipas' triumph over Balikesir BBS, one of the weaker teams in the Turkish TBL (second division), with a score of 79-69 last Sunday. In a mere 8 minutes of play, Ozdogan managed to score 6 points, highlighting his impact on the game. His 6 points and 1 rebound against Balikesir BBS were vital in securing the win for his team, demonstrating his prowess as a champion on the court. With an average of 7.0 points per game and 1.7 rebounds per game in the three games he has played this season, Ozdogan continues to showcase his skills and contribute significantly to his team's success as a finalist.
