Here is the weekly review of the top performing Demon Deacons alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Codi Miller-McIntyre, a 6'3'' guard and 32-year-old professional basketball player who graduated from Wake Forest in 2016, delivered an outstanding performance leading his Greek team, Olympiacos, to a hard-fought victory over the league outsider Armani Milano, who hold a 1-8 record, with a final score of 84-78 in Friday night's Euroleague game. Miller-McIntyre was named the MVP of the game, thanks to his impressive contribution of 24 points and 4 assists in 32 minutes of play. Olympiacos S.F.P. Piraeus, currently boasting a strong 7-2 record, holds the second position in the league standings. However, given that this is still the early stage of the season, much remains uncertain and anything can happen as teams continue to compete. In addition to his 24 points, Miller-McIntyre also contributed 3 rebounds, demonstrating his versatility and crucial role in securing the win for his team. Over the course of this season, he has been averaging 8.8 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game, and 5.1 assists per game across the nine games he has played so far. It is also notable that Miller-McIntyre is a naturalized American, adding an interesting dimension to his professional career in Greece.

#2. French player Olivier Sarr, a 7'0'' center and 27 years old, is a Wildcats alumnus from 2021, having previously played for Wake Forest between 2017 and 2020, where he earned the All-ACC Third Team award in his final year. Currently playing professionally in Spain, Sarr has been making a significant impact with Real Madrid. In Sunday night's Spanish Liga Endesa game, he led Real Madrid to a commanding 90-79 victory against the 13th-ranked Burgos team. Despite playing only 16 minutes, Sarr contributed an impressive 11 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and blocked 2 shots, showcasing his efficiency and defensive prowess. Real Madrid, now boasting a perfect 6-0 record, holds the first place position in the league standings. This undefeated streak in the Regular Season highlights the team's dominance so far, with Sarr playing a crucial role in their success during his first season with the team. His performance against Burgos was instrumental in securing the win, effectively making Real Madrid the champions of the game. Throughout this season, Sarr has averaged 6.7 points per game (ppg) and 3.3 rebounds per game (rpg) across six games, underlining his growing influence and contribution to the team's impressive run.

#3. Ian DuBose, a 6'4'' guard and 27-year-old professional basketball player, graduated from Wake Forest University in 2021, where he earned the prestigious ACC All-Academic Team award that same year. Currently playing professionally in Denmark, DuBose has been making significant contributions to his team, the Bakken Bears. In a recent FIBA Europe Cup game on Tuesday night, DuBose led the Bakken Bears to a hard-fought 80-76 victory over Denizli Basket, a closely-ranked opponent with a 2-3 record. His outstanding performance earned him the MVP of the game honors. Over the course of 25 minutes on the court, DuBose scored 17 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 4 assists, and added 3 steals, showcasing his all-around skills and vital role in the team's success. The matchup was highly anticipated as it featured two of the top four ranked teams in the league, with Bakken Bears Aarhus holding the second-place position with a 4-1 record. This win marked the team's fourth consecutive victory, highlighting their strong form this season. DuBose’s impressive showing against Denizli underscored his importance to the team, as he contributed significantly in scoring, rebounding, and playmaking, helping secure the win in a crucial game of the round. For the current season, DuBose is averaging 9.4 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game, and 1.2 steals per game across five games, demonstrating consistent and valuable performances for the Bakken Bears.

#4. Greek basketball player Kostas Mitoglou, a 6'11'' forward/center and a 30-year-old Demon Deacons alumnus from the 2018 class, who currently plays professionally in Greece, played a significant role in Panathinaikos' thrilling overtime victory against the ninth-ranked Real Madrid in Wednesday night's Euroleague game. The final score was 115-112 in favor of Panathinaikos. Mitoglou contributed an impressive 9 points in just 14 minutes of play, showcasing his efficiency and impact on the court. Panathinaikos Aktor Athens, now holding an 8-2 record, sits at the top of the league standings, with Mitoglou entering his fourth season on the team. Beyond his scoring, he also grabbed 1 rebound and provided 2 assists during this crucial match, underscoring his well-rounded performance that helped secure the hard-fought victory over a strong Real Madrid squad, which currently holds a 6-4 record. Throughout the current season, Mitoglou is averaging 6.7 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per game over nine contests, continuing to be a valuable contributor for Panathinaikos as they pursue success in the Euroleague.

#5. Swedish player Bo Klintman, a 6'9'' forward/center who graduated from Wake Forest in 2003 and currently plays professionally in Italy, recently competed for Virtus Segafredo Bologna in the Euroleague. Despite his efforts, Klintman was unable to help Virtus Segafredo Bologna, who hold a 4-5 record, overcome Besiktas, also with a 4-5 record. In the tightly contested game, Klintman contributed 5 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and added 1 assist over 14 minutes of play. Unfortunately, Virtus Segafredo Bologna was narrowly defeated on the road by the lower-ranked (#14) Besiktas with a final score of 103-101. This loss marked Virtus Segafredo Bologna's third consecutive defeat. Over the course of this season, Klintman has been averaging 5.8 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, and 1.4 assists per game in nine games, demonstrating consistent contribution even though the team has struggled to secure wins.

#6. Isaiah Mucius, a 6'8'' forward and a 27-year-old Demon Deacons alumnus from the class of 2022 who currently plays professionally in Cyprus, played a significant role in his team's commanding victory over the fifth-ranked Etha. In Saturday night's matchup in the Cypriot ECOMMBX Basket League, Mucius helped his team crush Etha with a decisive 87-61 win. During the game, Mucius showcased his skills by scoring 10 points and grabbing 4 rebounds in just 15 minutes of play. Additionally, he contributed 2 assists, demonstrating his ability to impact multiple facets of the game. His performance was instrumental in securing the win and maintaining his team's strong position in the league. Over the course of this season, Mucius has been delivering solid numbers, averaging 14.3 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, and 2.3 assists per game across four games, reflecting his consistent contribution on the court.

#7. Tyree Appleby, a 6'1'' point guard and 28-year-old professional basketball player, graduated from Wake Forest in 2023, where he earned the prestigious USBWA All-District III Player of the Year award that same year. Currently playing professionally in Greece, Appleby has been a pivotal figure for his team, Mykonos. In Tuesday night's FIBA Europe Cup game, he led Mykonos to an impressive 89-79 victory over the closely-ranked Oradea. During this crucial matchup, Appleby showcased his all-around skills by scoring 11 points and providing 7 assists, while maintaining perfect accuracy from the free throw line, going 5-for-5. Over the course of 31 minutes on the court, he also contributed 3 rebounds, further demonstrating his versatility and importance to the team’s success. Throughout this season, Appleby has posted solid statistics, averaging 11.4 points per game, 3.0 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game over five contests. His consistent performance and leadership continue to make him a key player as Mykonos competes at a high level in European basketball.

#8. John Collins, a 29-year-old power forward standing 6'9'', hailing from the U.S. Virgin Islands, is an accomplished professional basketball player currently competing in the NBA. He is an alumnus of the Demon Deacons, having graduated in 2017, the same year he earned the prestigious All-ACC Most Improved Player of the Year award, highlighting his significant development during his college career. Currently playing for the Detroit Pistons, Collins recently participated in a closely contested game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite his commendable individual performance, the Pistons were unable to secure a win, falling short with a final score of 106-112. In this matchup, Collins delivered an impressive contribution by scoring 16 points and grabbing 1 rebound over 26 minutes of playtime. His efforts stood out, but unfortunately, they were not enough to change the outcome of the game. Throughout this season, Collins has maintained solid statistics, averaging 9.4 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game across eight games, demonstrating his consistent impact on the court. Additionally, it is notable that Collins holds dual citizenship, being both American and a citizen of the U.S. Virgin Islands. This dual status allows him to be classified as a domestic player when playing in the U.S. Virgin Islands, offering him unique flexibility in his professional career.

#9. Brandon Childress, a 6'0" guard and 29-year-old professional basketball player, graduated from Wake Forest University in 2020, where he earned an All-ACC Honorable Mention award that same year. Currently, Childress is playing professionally in Spain. In a recent game, he represented Monbus Obradoiro CAB Santiago de Compostela against Breogan Lugo. Despite his efforts, Childress was unable to help his team overcome their opponents. During the match, Childress scored 7 points and contributed an impressive 8 assists over 23 minutes of play. He also grabbed 2 rebounds, showcasing his all-around game. However, despite his solid individual performance and valuable contributions on the court, his team suffered a heavy defeat, losing by a margin of 20 points with a final score of 110-90. This season, Childress has been putting up relatively good statistics, averaging 11.3 points per game (ppg), 1.7 rebounds per game (rpg), and 4.8 assists per game (apg) across six games. His consistent playmaking and scoring ability make him a key player for his team, even though the results have not always been favorable.

#10. Efton Reid III, a 7'0'' center and 24-year-old Demon Deacons alumnus from the class of 2025, currently playing professionally in Lithuania, was unable to carry one of the league’s weakest teams, Siauliai, to victory in their most recent game. Despite Reid III’s strong individual performance, Siauliai, who hold a 3-5 record, suffered a disappointing 81-91 loss at home against Taurages, another struggling team ranked #9 in the league standings. In this game, Reid III showcased his skills by scoring an impressive 10 points in just 11 minutes on the court. Alongside his scoring, he also contributed 3 rebounds and 1 assist, demonstrating his well-rounded impact during his limited playing time. However, despite his solid efforts, Siauliai could not overcome Taurages and ultimately fell short. Throughout the current season, Reid III has been averaging 7.5 points per game (ppg) and 5.3 rebounds per game (rpg) over four contests, indicating his consistent contribution to the team even amid their struggles.
