Luxembourg's late run not enough against Montenegro

Filip Andjusic

Our men's national team played its second game of the games of the small States of Europe on Tuesday. The FLBB squad lost 72:76 against tournament favorite Montenegro. The opponent had the better start (26:17 after 10 minutes) and was able to extend the lead before the half-time break (50:30). The FLBB squad stormed back in the second half and cut the deficit to under 10 points with 3 minutes remaining. In the end, Luxembourg lost the game by pnly 4 points which certainly gives the team a lot of confidence for a possible rematch in the semi finals or finals. Alex Laurent (198-SF-1993) led Luxembourg with 25 points. Filip Andjusic (207-C-2002) paced the winners with 19 points.
