Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Bears players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Keandre Cook, a 6'5'' guard who graduated from Missouri State in 2020 and received the All-MVC Second Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Israel. Recently, he competed for Hapoel Shlomo Tel-Aviv in a match against M.Rishon in the Israeli Winner League. Despite his solid performance of scoring 6 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 1 assist in 23 minutes, Cook's team was unable to secure a victory against M.Rishon. The final score saw Hapoel Shlomo Tel-Aviv, the second-placed team with a record of 22-4, fall to M.Rishon, which held a record of 12-14, with a scoreline of 82-74 on the road. This season, Cook has been maintaining an average of 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game, showcasing his valuable contributions to his team's efforts on the court.
#2. Puerto Rican Matthew Lee, a 6'0'' point guard and 26-year-old Bears alumnus from the class of 2024, showcased his skills for Santeros de Aguada in their recent game last Saturday. Despite his impressive performance, the third-placed Aguada team (11-12) was unable to secure a victory against the leading Criollos in Group A, suffering a 101-88 defeat in Caguas. Lee stood out as the top scorer of the game, contributing an impressive 19 points and 3 assists in just 28 minutes of play. This marked an exceptional performance considering it is Lee's first season with the team. Throughout the season, he has been averaging 7.5 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. Despite Lee's strong individual performance, Santeros de Aguada fell short against their opponents. Lee's contributions on the court were notable, but the team was unable to overcome the challenges posed by the leading Criollos.
