McEwen, who received the All-Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year award in 2022, plays for Benfica and made a significant impact in their recent victory over Oliveirense. In the match, Benfica triumphed over Oliveirense with a score of 86-78, with McEwen contributing 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist in his 22 minutes on the court. This victory marked Benfica's fifth consecutive win, solidifying their position at the top of the league with a record of 20-2. McEwen's stellar performance against Oliveirense exemplified his skills and determination, proving himself as a champion player. This season, he has been averaging 8.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, showcasing his all-around abilities on the court. Despite it being his first season with the team, McEwen has quickly become an integral player for Benfica. It is worth noting that he holds Canadian nationality, adding to his international profile as a basketball champion.

#2. Dominican Republic champion Steven Verplancken, a 6'4'' guard who is 25 years old and an alumnus of the Wildcats from 2024, received the All-Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention award that year. Currently playing professionally in France, he recently competed for Champagne (21-17) in a game last Thursday. Despite Verplancken's strong performance, scoring 12 points in 21 minutes, Champagne was narrowly defeated 79-78 at home by the second-ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez. In the game, he showcased his skills by contributing 12 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist. However, despite his efforts, the team could not secure the victory. Throughout this season, Verplancken has been maintaining an average of 8.1 points per game, along with 1.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

#3. Jeremy Senglin, a 31-year-old point guard standing at 6'2'' who graduated from Weber State in 2017 and received the All-Big Sky Conference First Team award that year, currently plays professionally in France. Recently, he played a crucial role in helping Nanterre 92 emerge victorious against the closely-ranked Le Mans team with a score of 64-55 in the French Betclic ELITE competition. Despite only scoring 3 points in 5 minutes on the court, his contribution proved to be essential for the team's success. Nanterre 92, with a current record of 21-9, holds the third position in the league standings. Senglin's 3-point performance against Le Mans not only secured the win for his team but also earned him the title of champion of the game. Throughout this season, Senglin has been maintaining an average of 5.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, showcasing his consistent contribution to Nanterre 92's success in the league.

   #4.
